Bridges' appointment, by his Lordship on the 9th August, to the functions and

salary of my office of Counsel to the Superintendency of Trade : - an office inseparably united to that of the Hong Kong Attorney-General, by the Foreign Secretary of State under Lord Palmerston's Ministry.
